Boreham Mill Nurseries was formerly the site for a farm and windmill, pictured here at the end of the 19th century. The windmill stood in what is now ‘The Granary' garden and during spells of dry weather it is still possible to see its former position.
It was pulled down in 1925 but at Windmill Hill (a mile away) you can see, and sometimes visit, a similar post mill that has recently been restored.
